Chris is founder of the young men’s health organisation, Conviction Group, and Credo Youth Ministry (the youth group at St. Patrick’s Cathedral Parramatta) and was nominated the 2017 Hills Shire Citizen of the Year.
He brings with him a wealth of experience and is determined to use his skills in youth ministry on a larger scale in the Sydney region as part of the Archdiocese’s rejuvenation to make Sydney Catholic Youth transformational for youth in this country with a balance of social justice, service to the community, and outreach to people in trouble while not undermining the faith.
Elizabeth has come to the role with a huge depth of experience in working with young people. As a high school teacher she has been at the forefront of ministry with being the dedicated Youth Ministry Co-ordinator in charge of retreats, youth rallies and formation for her students.
Liz has also spent time as the high school program Co-ordinator for CFC Youth for Christ – Australia and has worked alongside many of the youth leaders in the Archdiocese.
WYD & YEAR OF YOUTH Project Officer
After completing high school, Abbel became a missionary and spent the next 10 years travelling and leading missions in the Phillipines, Hong Kong, Poland, Germany, America and Portugal. Abbel has also completed a Bachelors of Philosophy and Theology.
He brings with him a vast array of experience, both practical and intellectual. In the next few weeks we will begin putting in place plans for WYD in Panama and our team can’t wait to begin working with all young people in the Archdiocese.
