Milad joins us from Sydney Catholic Schools where he had served as Education Officer for Church Engagement in which he was involved in the formation and evangelisation of youth as well as family evangelisation events and programs within Catholic schools.
Milad will be focused on developing the collaborative vision of the Archdiocese for youth and young adult discipleship and evangelisation. He will involved in coordination of evangelising initiatives including gatherings with the Archbishop and auxiliary bishops, youth festivals, pilgrimages and World Youth Days, and other events as required, with a particular focus on delivering support to parishes in their outreach to youth and young adults.
Jen comes into Sydney Catholic Youth from her time at the Parish of Our Lady of Angels in Rouse Hill, where she held the role of Youth Coordinator for the parish that oversaw a vibrant and engaging youth ministry.
In recent years, Jen has also led a not-for-profit initiative called “Bula Books Fiji”, bringing together books and educational resources from schools across Australia for distribution to schools in Fiji devastated by Cyclone Winston in 2016.
Jen will be focused on the support of our parish youth leaders as well as delivering training and mentoring, resourcing, strategic planning and pastoral support.
John comes into Sydney Catholic Youth with experience from his time in Youth Ministry for Sydney Catholic Schools, Australian Catholic University, various parishes and in his Catholic Community of CFC Youth for Christ/ Singles for Christ – International. He has mentored and formed high school and University student leaders as well as creating pathways for young people to connect with their local parish.
