Dangerous Theology with Jason Evert : The Future of Sex
May 18, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$15.00
Hook-up apps, internet pornography, sex robots, websites for extra-marital affairs, an ever-expanding sex trade through human trafficking and a steeply declining birth rate in the west. We must ask ourselves when it comes to intimacy and sex: where are we heading as a society?
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Humanae Vitae which was written by Pope Paul VI and confirmed the Catholic Church’s teachings on contraception. Humanae Vitae has now been seen by many as a prophetic document that reflected our current society.
So the big question is: how did we get here and where are we going? Join us and Jason Evert at Dangerous Theology and find out.
-The day will begin with Mass at 4:30pm celebrated by Fr Mannes Tellis at the Chapel of the University of Sydney Catholic Student Centre (150 City Road Darlington, NSW, 2008)
-At 5:30pm, we will move to the Seymour Theatre for Jason Evert’s talk ‘The Future of Sex’
-This will be followed by adoration at 8pm back at the Chapel of the University of Sydney Catholic Student Centre.
-Dinner will be provided at the University of Sydney Catholic Student Centre after adoration.
Event open to anyone over 16 years of age.
