Holy Hour – Dinner – Divine Mercy Film

March 29, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Still thinking about World Youth Day? Trying to encourage friends to join you? Catholic Youth Services invites young adults to the first (and possibly only) Australian showing of the new Divine Mercy Film – we’re flying in the film just for this occasion!

The documentary follows the adventurous history of the original painting commissioned by St. Faustina. The Original Image of Divine Mercy features appearances key witnesses, as well as Bishop Robert Barron of Los Angeles, George Weigel (biographer of Saint Pope John Paul II), Fr. Maichael Gaitley MIC, Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz, Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, Immaculée, comedian Jim Gaffigan, Grammy award-winning musician Harry Connick Jr., and many others. The film has been endorsed by The Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization. Watch the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSB7uiE7sTA.

The night will begin with City Silence in St Mary’s Cathedral from 6.30-7.30pm. We will then head to the Chapter hall for an Easter Tuesday celebration dinner (chocolate included) before showing this amazing film. There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions about WYD and register right there!

It’s going to be a great night…and this is the last big pre-WYD event. You need to be at this (and you need to register for WYD).

Entry – Reccomended donation – $5
